Boasting superb armor with firepower to match, the Warthog is capable of trading blows with larger ships, but lacks shield-breaking weapons. A decoy flare launcher helps draw fire away from its more vulnerable allies.

–In-Game Description

Notes[]

Equipped only with explosive weaponry, the Warthog is to Heavy Fighters what the Longbow is to bombers. As the Warthog will hang over the enemy ship for extended period of time, it features heaviest armor among all fighters, Insulated Engine Assembly and flares for maximum survivability. It also has 3 fighters per wing and reasonable replacement rate. The downsides are very slow speed and poor flux dissipation, which means that after two initial volleys only one of the Light Mortars will be continuously firing.

Hovewer if treated as bombers and combined with regular escort fighters such as Broadswords to flux the enemy ship up first, the Warthogs can be very effective as they're hard nuts to crack and will double the amount of flares applied to the target ship.
