–In-Game Description

The Volatile Particle Driver is a large kinetic hybrid weapon, it can be mounted on both energy mounts, ballistic mounts, and hybrid mounts.

While not very flux efficient, the Volatile Particle Driver is capable of unleashing a massive barrage of kinetic projectiles that can quickly bring down a target's shield. However, some of its projectiles will evaporate just slightly before it reaches maximum range.

This weapon is best suited on high-tech vessels (which typically lacks kinetic weapon options) with high mobility and flux capacity, as they can close in the distance with enemies much quicker to make sure all the projectiles land, and sustain fire for longer periods of times. On low tech vessels, the Volatile Particle Driver doesn't perform as well, due to low-tech vessels generally having slow speeds and low flux capacity, as well as having more kinetic ballistic weapon options.
