The Omen is a high tech frigate that provides amazing combat and strategic utility via its EMP Emitter and built-in High Resolution Sensors hullmod. The EMP Emitter is a powerful weapon in its own right, providing significant loadout versatility to the Omen.
In truth, the ship should be built around the EMP Emitter being treated as its main weapon - It lacks enough weapon mounts of any type or size to carry a significant loadout otherwise. Given the range of the EMP Emitter, short-range weaponry is advised to encourage the AI to pilot the ship near to enemies where the EMP arcs can wreck havoc once activated.
Owing to its low armor and hull values, boosting its excellent shield strength via Hardened Shields is recommended to avoid it needing to drop shields to tank shots on what little armor and hull it has.
