Unfortunately I'm not able to give you permissions on this wiki (I think I can only give out discussions and chat moderator, but I don't think that'll help you edit locked pages). I'm going to try and update the main page so it's current, but I was curious what you think I should do with the main page's protection status.
Either I can leave it as it is and try to keep it updated - using my message board to contact me should result in a somewhat quick (within a week or so) response. Or I can change the protection to "block new and unregistered users" which would hopefully prevent some vandalism while allowing you and other registered users to maintain the page without needing to contact me.
I'll leave the decision up to you since I'm fairly inactive on wikia.
Thanks for keeping everything up to date and sorry for the late reply!
Edit: Also, if you're still fairly active here on this wikia then I would recommend either attempting to contact User:AdminOcho for admin/moderator or adopting this wikia so that you can properly moderate it. If you're interested in adopting the wiki here's link which will tell you how to go about doing so.
Edit 2: Okay so I updated the page and made it more generic just incase I'm not around for the next update. The wording doesn't have a version number now and the link takes you to a list of the recent release blog posts.
I was actually slightly surprised that you hadn't already changed the weapons (or taken the shortcut of hiding the fields in the template); I'd assumed your reaction was "Ugh, I have to go back and change all the weapons again? Bah, I'll let someone else do it this time."
(you know, a bot to do this sort of thing would be kind of nice)
So I published a draft of the mission template to Template:MissionInfobox and it works, but it looks kinda meh. I'll probably take another pass at it tomorrow and try to refine the look. I was trying to make it look as similar to this as possible. All of the icons that are on the Hornet's Nest page currently are going to change as well - I'll upload the fighter images and probably resize everything to make them work as icons.
Hmm, I'm not sure trying to duplicate the appearance of the ingame mission screen is a worthwhile exercise. I decided to test a more conventional design instead at User:Histidine/Sandbox; you can see it on the Turning the Tables page. We can decide which one works better after you do your refinements.
I have no idea why the header disappeared. I'm trying to figure it out now.
Edit: I just had to add the clr template after the Mission template. Also, I'll be changing up the mission template to make it a bit more compact - just so you know it isn't the final version. Sorry about not updating the templates this last week I've been busy with other things.
Oh and I might break the Ship infoboxes tonight (again) as I'm trying to implement the expand contract functionality.
Hey I've noticed that you have been doing some awesome edits on the wiki lately and I just wanted to thank you. All of the pages that you make and edit seem to turn out tons better than what I had imagined (like the faction and CR pages are seriously awesome).
Do you happen to know how to make the infoboxes collapsible? I gave it a try last night and the way that I had to do it in order for it to work kinda broke the format when expanding and collapsing.
Oh and about the Mission template I've kind of put it on the back burner (sorry about that), but I have a rough draft done so I'll publish that tonight (after I fix it up a bit) so that we can start on the mission pages.
Thank you for the praise. Unfortunately I don't know enough HTML or CSS to help you with the collapsible infoboxes, sorry :(
Yeah, I totally understand about the mission template; the sudden release of 0.6a would naturally mean that UPDATE ALL THE PAGES takes priority (good job on that, BTW). We can use it anytime you're done with it, so no worries!
Hi, I noticed that you changed the formatting on some of the ship systems pages. Please use the format that I have provided because it is expandable for future updates and changes (through to release).
Leave the In-Game Description in the quote box at the top as it is the actual description provided by the developer about the item and as such should be at the top. Any other information should be included below, most likely under a header.
As to listing the ships that use each particular ship system, please use a listing format because once more ships are added to the game it will be easier to expand the pages if that section has a bulleted list of ships that use the systems.
Thank you for your help and if you have any questions let me know. Please try to keep the current formatting on all of the pages intact.
