Typically deployed to beef up system police forces and port authority security, the Brawler-class frigate is a robust design which trades mobility for impressive firepower, armor, and a destroyer-grade power generator.

–In-Game Description

This ship has been thoroughly overhauled by the Tri-Tachyon corporation. Tri-Tachyon compliant software patches have been installed which are fully integrated with TriPad (R) status monitoring protocols, high-spec flux conduit upgrades performed, and weapon attachment points refurbished for mounting advanced energy weapons.

–In-Game Description

Fanatics of the Luddic Path have made this ship their own, stripping out all unnecessary trimmings and transforming it into a haphazard vehicle of holy war.

–In-Game Description

Modified for operations in the Askonia system under orders from Supreme Executor Philip Andrada, this hull includes integrated solar shielding as well as a peculiar internal cladding provided by an industrial conglomerate out of Sindria itself. That the chief designer, appointed by the Supreme Executor for his many cycles of loyal service, sits on the board of that conglomerate is simply an example of the unity and efficiency of the Sindrian Polity.

–In-Game Description

The Brawler-class Gunship is a midline design fielded by several factions in the Persean Sector, most notably the Persean League.

Overview[]

The Brawler possesses considerable frontal firepower, destroyer-grade flux dissipation and decent survivability. It's also relatively slow and has low maneuverability - while the latter is partially alleviated with Maneuvering Jets the former means other frigates can often simply run away from it. Its front-only shield and lack of turret mounts means it is vulnerable to flanking when alone or in low numbers and can easily be overwhelmed by fighters.

Variants[]

The Luddic Path variant comes with built-in Safety Overrides hullmod, turning it into a very different ship - It is much faster than the base Brawler and can handle some of the most flux-hungry medium ballistic weapons such as the Assault Chaingun. As if that wasn't enough, the ship also replaces the now-obsolete Maneuvering Jets with Accelerated Ammo Feeder for even more firepower. While it still remains vulnerable to fighters, in numbers a well-fit Brawler LP can threaten even capital ships.

The Tri-Trachyon variant replaces Maneuvering Jets with Plasma Jets, focusing on speed rather than agility. It also comes with built-in Insulated Engine Assembly for slightly more hull HP, changes the two medium ballistic slots to energy and the two small universal slot to synergy. It also has 10 more Ordnance Points to make up for generally higher OP cost of energy weapons.

The Lion's Guard variant comes with built-in Solar Shielding and Energy Bolt Coherer hullmods. It also replaces the two medium ballistic weapons slots with energy weapons, however, unlike the Tri-Tachyon variant with energy weapons, it has 3 less Ordnance Points than the base variant, limiting its capabilities refit. +100 range to non-beam energy weapons helps it to outrange and maneuver enemy ships.
