The Apogee-class vessels are an effective mix of advanced scientific and military technologies, perfect for long- range exploration of hostile space.

The class features an asymmetric design with a large forward section, usually outfitted with long-range tech scanners. Apogee captains are used to operating alone and tend to be an independent, self-reliant lot.

The ship can hold its own in one-on-one engagements by smart use of its powerful shield emitter and strong engines. However, its armor rating makes it seem somewhat fragile on paper, and thus is rarely part of big fleet actions.

The high construction costs typically mean that only affluent tech mining consortiums can afford an Apogee-class vessel that is fully outfitted for an aggressive exploratory role.

An extremely versatile ship that can be configured to operate in almost any fleet role. Outfitting an Apogee is often an exercise in working around it's somewhat awkward slots & making hard design concessions. Captains who can work around these limitations are rewarded with the benefits offered by the Large Energy and a Large Missile hardpoints paired with exceptional flux stats and mobility for a bargain in terms of logistics footprint.


The Apogee's off-bore Missile Hardpoint lends itself towards weapons with tracking capabilities.

  • The Hurricane MIRV Launcher offers High Explosive Strike damage against large targets such as cruisers and capital ships that pairs well with hard flux-dealing main weapons like the Autopulse Laser.
  • The Squall MLRS provides consistent hard-flux and EMP pressure with a deep ammo reserve. This weapons system pairs well with a High Intensity Laser and Tactical Lasers in the forward mounts, as the beams will force the target to keep their shield up while the Missiles deal hard flux.
  • The Locust SRM Launcher presents itself as the budget option that pairs well with high OP weapons such as Plasma Cannons or Tachyon Lances, providing anti-fighter support to the entire fleet while doubling as a finisher weapon against enemies with breached armor.
